Technology

Because we serve all age groups, we understand that different people have different needs, and we try to accommodate them all. We use the most advanced dental technology and techniques to provide effective treatment. Yet at the same time, we focus on patient comfort by offering amenities such as DVD players and audio headsets.

Computer Imaging

Are you considering a cosmetic option such as porcelain veneers, but you’re not quite sure you’ll be satisfied with the results? Using computer-imaging software, Dr. Clifford can digitally reshape your teeth and generate an image of what you will look like after your procedure is complete. Seeing your results before the procedure is performed will allow you to make a more informed decision and give you a better idea of what to expect. Contact Dr. Clifford to find out if computer imaging can aid in your decision making process.

Digital Dental X-Rays

Digital x-rays provide a lot more information than traditional x-rays and expose patients to 90% less radiation. With digital x-rays, Dr. Clifford can immediately view, adjust, and magnify images of your mouth, to discover hidden abnormalities and identify existing or potential problems.

Intraoral Camera

Using the intraoral camera, Dr. Clifford is able to identify problems such as tooth decay, defective or worn-out restorations, tooth fractures, and plaque. The images displayed by the intraoral camera will allow you to see what Dr. Clifford sees, helping you better understand your treatment options.

Laser Assisted Dentistry

Laser assisted dentistry is used for the removal of small growths and the quick and effective treatment of cavities and gum disease. With lasers, we are able to gently remove decay, soft gum tissue, or tooth enamel, allowing for fast, comfortable treatment with little, if any, anesthesia required. To find out if a laser can be used during your next dental procedure, contact our office today.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, can help reduce fear and anxiety associated with dental treatment. Patients become more relaxed after inhaling a small amount of the nitrous oxide, making it easier for Dr. Clifford to perform treatment. If you are interested in trying nitrous oxide during your next dental appointment, contact our office today.

T-Scan

This is a digital imaging device which allows us to see the exact pattern of an individual's bite. We use this software to fine tune the bite relationship after restorations are placed and in evaluating and treating joint soreness, headache, and facial pain.

The Wand

To eliminate discomfort associated with injections, we offer The Wand, a computer controlled injection system that provides a more comfortable and effective way to deliver anesthetic. The Wand works by providing anesthetic ahead of the needle to numb the injection area. It then controls the pressure allowing patients to experience a more comfortable and sometimes painless injection. With The Wand we are able to focus on numbing a single tooth or block out a whole area.

Dear Dr. Clifford and all your beautiful staff,

What a team! You do professionalism right, with a personal touch. I look upon you and your staff as the finest sort of REAL PEOPLE: people with homes and families, babies, a dentist with a business to guide, women with jobs, all of whom conduct themselves not only with a professional friendliness, but with gentle strength and a very human response. Thank you for the great experience I have had in my visits to your office while my dental work was performed.

Now, about the dentistry this, too, was not only highly professional, but gentle and caring with a dazzling outcome. In fact, my periodontist told me I couldn’t get finer results if I went on “Extreme Makeover” or had the work done in Hollywood! That is Extreme Praise! I discovered during my dental appointments with you, that being a dentist cannot be easy. I’m sure your ‘in-mouth’ experiences have to be as taxing for you as they are for your patient. Our sessions were sometimes long but I was always aware of your concern for my comfort.

My husband, who is 78 years young, said that if only he were a year or two younger, he’d have his teeth redone by you. However, he is afraid the outcome would be as good as mine is, and then all the young girls would be after him and he can’t run fast enough any more. (We all have to worry about something, don’t we?)

Your office is beautifully decorated. I understand your wife is your decorator, my compliments to her. The paintings, the tile, the furniture, the entire Italianate ambience is very tasteful and soothing.

With thanks for a lovely new smile and for the friendly reception I always received in your office.
God Bless!
